Soledad High School is a high school in Soledad, California in Monterey County. Soledad High School is home of the Aztecs. The school was founded in 1999 and serves grades 9 through 12. Currently the school has approximately 1,065 students.

The Mission of Soledad High School is to provide a safe environment that supports the development of each student through high standards of academic achievement, responsible citizenship, service to the community, preparation for post-secondary education, and meaningful employment.[2]

A few miles south of Soledad, the Salinas River drops in close to the hillside bank and runs deep and green. The water is warm too, for it has slipped twinkling over the yellow sands in the sunlight before reaching the narrow pool. Soledad High School Culture Club a dedicated to furthering cultural awareness and cultural literacy on campus through study, field trips and hosting of cultural events.
M.E.S.A or Math, Engineering, Science Achievements is a club designed to help students interested in Math and the different Sciences offered in Soledad High and beyond the school. It offers tutoring in the Math and Science departments. Anyone is invited to be part of the club. M.E.S.A. often hosts trips to the different universities were students could become familiar with requirements each school has. It also helps the students become familiar with a campus that the student might want to attend after high school.
Club Azteca is one of the most popular clubs on the Soledad High campus. The club hosts it's famous "Noche de Gala" every year, it is a big even sort of like a prom. Club Azteca focuses on reaching out to all students of Hispanic descent and the rest of the campus. The club often celebrates Mexican holidays and traditions such as Dia del Muerto or Day of the Dead.
In 2009, Soledad High School had 89% of students eligible for free or reduced price lunch programs. California had 52% of eligible students for free or reduced price lunch programs. Eligibility for the National School Lunch Program is based on family income levels. Most of the Students at Soledad High School come from a Hispanic ethnic background.[4]
